RHD Australia supports the control of rheumatic heart disease and works alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and other at-risk populations, to reduce acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease in Australia. Based at Menzies School of Health and funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, RHD Australia develops and disseminates evidence-based resources to support health systems and health staff in their work, and provides culturally appropriate educational resources for people with ARF/RHD and their families.
Together with RHD Australia, we are consistently working on resources for health professionals and those affected by ARF/RHD to help reduce the infection rate, promote early diagnosis and help patients manage their RHD. In the past year, we have created plastic diagnosis cards and fact sheets for doctors, as well as bookmarks, posters and a promotional video for the Treatment Tracker App for at-risk groups and patients.
To create something exceptional, Mindset must be relentlessly focused on the smallest detail. Creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect.
